Did you know that on the U.S. Supreme Court building, there is a Chinese figure carved next to Moses? That Chinese is Confucius. And his philosophy shaped the cultures of China, Japan and Korea.

Why are East Asians more modest and studious?

Because Confucius taught: “When I'm with others, I learn from them. I copy their good traits and avoid their bad ones.”

Why are East Asians less religious?

Because Confucius taught people not to speak about gods or miracles.

Why is East Asia safer?

Because Confucius taught: “What you do not wish for yourself, do not do to others.”

Confucius accepted students regardless of social class. He charged no tuition. And only asked for a symbolic gift — a bundle of dried meat. He traveled across China and taught 3,000 students. They became leaders in politics, philosophy, and education. And influenced China, Japan and Korea for thousands of years.
